Weather Alert: High Wind Advisory

Our technicians in our Network Operations Center wanted us to get the word out about a weather event that could possibly impact our services.

High winds can impact both our Fiber-to-the-Home customers, as well as our Fiber-to-Wireless customers.

If you experience an outage at your location due to this high wind advisory, please be sure to report it to us.

… Wind Advisory remains in effect from 11 am this morning to
11 PM EST this evening…

The National Weather Service in Burlington continues the Wind
Advisory, from 11 am this morning to 11 PM EST this evening.

* Locations… northern New York… including the Saint Lawrence
  valley and northern Adirondack Mountains.

* Hazards… strong and gusty winds.

* Winds… southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

* Timing… gusty winds develop this afternoon and are strongest
  between 1 PM and 6 PM before tapering off this evening.

* Impacts… scattered power outages and downed tree limbs are
  likely, most focused across the Saint Lawrence valley and the
  western slopes and higher elevations of the northern Adirondack
  Mountains.
