Mohawk Networks has a callout for a board member for a term of three (3) years, with compensation of $200 for monthly meetings, and $100 for special meetings. The Board of Managers holds monthly meetings, and special meetings as needed. Managers may participate in meetings in-person, via conference call or Skype.
Candidates do not need to be a member of the SRMT, but must have specialized knowledge and experience in information technology, economic development, business, finance and/or other similar expertise. Successful candidates will be required to submit to drug screening and criminal background check.

Callout for Board Member (1)
Mohawk Networks (the Company), wholly owned subsidiary of The Te wá tha hón:ni Corporation, is a limited liability company (LLC) chartered under the laws of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe (SRMT or Tribe). The Company is governed by the terms of its LLC Agreement and policies. The Company’s Board of Managers is composed of seven (7) members, four (4) of whom are members of the Tribal Council and three (3) of whom are appointed by Te wá tha hón:ni Board of Directors. The Company is a legal entity, formed to operate and manage a fiber optic broadband system located on the Tribe’s Reservation, and engages in similar business development in the region. In order to achieve this purpose, the Company shall endeavor to:
- Identify and carefully evaluate sound and profitable Tribal economic development initiatives, projects and investments;
- Earn a reasonable profit;
- Earn sufficient revenue to repay any funds advanced to it by the Member;
- Sustain its own operating expenses and capital obligations, accumulate reasonable reserves for economic development, and allocate surplus funds for dividends and distributions to the Member; and
- Engage in any other activities necessary or desirable for the accomplishment of the above
