What Is the Affordable Connectivity Program?

It provides a discount of up to $30 monthly for broadband services to eligible customers. The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) administers the program and is part of the Federal Communications Commission’s Lifeline program.

How Do I Apply for the ACP?
To apply for the ACP, you must apply online, receive confirmation, and then contact an authorized service provider such as Mohawk Networks. Our team can help you determine eligibility for the program and guide you through the application process.
Step 1: Submit an Application
First, you must go to the Affordable Connectivity website and apply for the program. You can also print an application from their website and mail it in. Applications are available in English and Spanish.
Step 2: Receive Your Enrollment ID
After submitting your application online, you’ll be taken to a page to see if your application is approved. If so, you’ll receive an application ID, which you must provide to a qualifying internet service provider.
Step 3: Contact Mohawk Networks
Whether you already have internet service with us or you don’t, you can contact us! We can be sure your voucher is applied to your monthly bill so you can start receiving your benefit and high-speed internet immediately.
Do I Need to Recertify for the ACP?
You will need to recertify for the ACP each year to maintain your eligibility. Our team can help you with the recertification process to ensure you continue receiving the program’s benefits. USAC sends a direct letter directly to you, and you have 60 days to recertify. You’ll use the same application process to recertify as you did for the initial enrollment.
If you don’t recertify yearly, you’ll lose your benefit and receive a higher internet bill. However, you reapply and are approved, we will happily apply your benefits to your account but unfortunately not retroactively.
Why Choose Mohawk Networks for the ACP Program Instead of Verizon or Spectrum?
As an authorized provider for the ACP, Mohawk Networks has the expertise and experience to help you make the most of the program. We offer reliable service, flexible plans, and unparalleled customer support to ensure that you stay connected. Plus, with no credit checks or contracts, you can enjoy peace of mind and the benefits of the ACP without any hassle.
We’re smaller scale and very community-based, so we do a couple of different things that most providers, like Spectrum or Verizon, wouldn’t do. For example, we make courtesy calls for people whose bills are overdue and reach out to them if there are any ACP issues. We can also help with the enrollment process, so you never have to worry about missing out on the benefits you deserve.
Plus, we receive a notification when your benefits run out if you ever forget to recertify in the Affordable Connectivity Program. We’ll contact you immediately and help you re-enroll if that ever happens!
